NEW LEADERSHIP FOR THE ASIAN HEALTH COALITION
Jun 8 - The Board of Directors of the Asian Health Coalition announced the appointment of Edwin Chandrasekar as the organization's new Executive Director effective immediately.
“Edwin has extensive expertise in refining and implementing effective strategic plans and brings a fresh perspective and creative ideas in helping our agency become the premier non-profit in the Midwest addressing pan-Asian healthcare and health-related issues. We’re confident that Edwin’s leadership skills and experience will allow our agency to realize its vision of enhancing efforts in health advocacy, technical assistance, education and research,” remarked Dr. Karen Kim, President of the Board of Directors.
“This is a wonderful opportunity and I am very excited to be stepping into this role and look forward to guiding the Asian Health Coalition. I am drawn to the agency’s commitment to combating health disparities and focus on community involvement. The mission, philosophy and guiding tenets of the agency are an inspiration and entirely compatible with my personal and professional orientation.” Mr. Chandrasekar said.
Edwin holds a Master’s in Public and Private Management (M.P.P.M) from the Yale School of Management and brings 15 years of experience assuming leadership roles in the strategic planning and finance functions of major public and private companies. He was most recently Director of Corporate Planning with NiSource Inc, a Fortune 500 company.
