Amy Wang, MPA | Program Manager

Amy leads the multisector Coalition for Asian Substance Abuse Prevention (CASAP), which plans and implements bilingual educational programs aimed at increasing health literacy, reducing substance use, and promoting resilience among Chinatown youths.

Amy is interested in best practices for community engagement and is supporting the Asian Engagement and Recruitment Core with culturally tailored, research-informed engagement practices to increase Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander representation in the National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program. She has a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science and Master of Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After studying the complexity and shortcomings of the U.S. healthcare system, Amy became passionate about increasing healthcare access through community-based research, evidence-based practices, and practice-informed policies.

Amy enjoys photography in her free time. For one of her programs, Amy teaches Chinatown youths how to use DSLR cameras to capture the community around them.
