Asma Hussain, B.S. | Cardio PRogram Coordinator

Asma graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Health Systems Management from Loyola University Chicago. During her time in college, Asma was involved in several community organizations. She spent time at Hamdard Health Center conducting community research to build a network for the organization and worked on quality improvement projects. She now serves on the board of the organization. She also spent time at HANA Center as a Community Organizing Intern to increase civic engagement and voter participation. Moreover, in her own community, she volunteered as a teacher for local Muslim community centers. Additionally, she has clinical experience as a Registered Medical Assistant and is certified by the American Medical Technologists.

Asma is interested in public health because she wants to improve the health of vulnerable populations in her community. Due to Asma's passion for health care, she received the Spirit of St. Ignatius Award at Loyola University for her goal to advance her career in global health.

Asma’s role at the Asian Health Coalition is Program Coordinator for the Cardiovascular Awareness Recognizing Diet and Integration of Exercise Options (CARDIO) Program.
