Jessica Rubio, B.A. | Program & Office Administrator
In addition to making sure the office is in smooth running order, Jessica oversees outreach efforts to increase colorectal cancer screening rates among Chicago’s Latino population. Jessica chose public health because she is passionate about improving the health of minority populations. To her, public health bridges the gap between the medical community and the public, and she is happy to be able to impart the knowledge she has gained from both education and work experience to her own community, so that they can also improve their health and well-being.
Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Jessica graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2016 with a B.A. in English. Her prior experience consists of working in science outreach and education for the Carl R. Woese Institute of Genomic Biology at UIUC.
